Champions Run RV Resort: Ocala, FL

We spent two relaxing weeks at Champions Run RV Resort in Ocala, Florida and we were so sad to leave!  We were drawn to Champions Run because we loved the sister property Resort at Canopy Oaks.  When we heard that Champions Run was opening in the summer of 2022 we had to book a stay.  This visit was hosted, but we genuinely sought out this opportunity to visit this resort.  We wanted to share with you why we love it!

Here are FOUR REASONS why we loved Champions Run RV Resort in Ocala, Florida!

Champions Run RV Resort, large RV sites, central Florida, Ocala RV Resort

Large and spacious concrete pad with grass space!

  1. The Sites

The sites are so spacious!  We love having a good sized concrete space.  These sites allow for you to park on one half of the pad and then use the other side as outdoor living space. There is also ample space to park two vehicles!  The sites are well kept and beautifully landscaped.  The sites are spaced well so that you are not staring into your neighbor's kitchen!  There was room to relax and room for the kids to play. The clubhouse and tiki bar

  2. The Clubhouse and Tiki Hut

First of all the staff is so kind and helpful!  They were so great about mail, which is important for full time RV families.  We also loved the board games in the club house.  The large Jenga was the kids’ favorite.  They also liked the ping pong table.  There were many more games and also a pool table.  The gym is located inside the clubhouse and the equipment was in great condition and there was a lot to choose from.  As someone that loves to workout, this gym was a definite yes from me!  The staff also hosted various activities in the clubhouse and at the tiki bar.  We spent Halloween at the resort and they hosted a number of family activities and trick or treating.

  3. The pool and outdoor entertaining

I think we swam almost everyday!  The pool is heated and there are two hot tubs.  It was great for lounging, swimming with the kids, or relaxing in the hot tub.  We swam when the sun was bright in the sky and when it was cloudy out.  It helps that the pool is heated and that there are not a lot of trees blocking the pool area.  Near the pool there is the tiki bar, pickleball, bocce ball and shuffleboard.  We only took advantage of the pickleball courts but loved them.  The staff hosts a number of activities at the tiki bar and there are two gas fireplaces to enjoy!

  4. The location

Ocala is a secret gem of a location in Florida. There are a number of Florida Springs nearby. We went to Rainbow Springs State Park and Silver Glen Springs Recreation Area. Downtown Ocala had a number of cute coffee shops and restaurants. We also love Gainesville. Our favorite park in all of Florida is in Gainesville, Depot Park. Right next to the park is one of the best kids museums, Cade Museum. We also loved spending the day at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens in Gainesville.
